Awards
- Philip Bergman (GS) has received a two year doctoral post graduate scholarship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). 7/04
- David Brown (GS) has received a NSF Dissertation Improvement Grant to study how non-breeding season events affect migratory bird populations. 9/04
- Mollie Cashner (GS) received a AMNH Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Fund in May 2004: "Investigations into reproductive symbiosis in North American minnows traditionally allied with the subgenus Hydrophlox." 8/04
- Simon Lailvaux (GS) has received a Tinker summer grant, and an award from the Cuban and Caribbean Studies Institute here at Tulane for research he'll be doing on Jamaican anolis lizards. 7/04
- Shawn Vincent (GS '05) has received an award from the Company of Biologists Ltd (Division: Journal of Experimental Biology). The title of the project was: Sexual Dimorphism in Feeding Performance in the Arafurae Filesnake (Acrochordus arafurae). The project is being carried out in collaboration with Dr. Richard Shine of the University of Sydney, Australia. 7/04
- Stefan Woltman (GS) has received a Pre-doctoral Fellowship from the Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS) and a Tinker award from the Stone Center for Latin American Studies. Both in 2004 to conduct research on bird sensitivity to forest fragmentation in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. 8/04
